What You’ll See at the Biltmore National Aquarium

The Baltimore National Aquarium houses a number of exhibits that are just waiting to be explored. Some of the most popular exhibits include the Upland Tropical Rain Forest, a multiple-story Atlantic Coral Reef, an open ocean shark tank, and a mammal pavilion with eight Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. The aquarium also has a 4D Immersion Theater. Be sure to check out Australia: Wild Extremes, which won the “Best Exhibit” award from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums in 2008.

Activities & Events

There’s always something exciting happening at the aquarium! Visitors may take a guided tour of the building or attend an informative educator talk. You can even watch divers feed the underwater animals during an Atlantic Coral Reef Dive. For a truly unforgettable experience, sign up for an animal encounter and get up close and personal with some of the aquarium’s most exotic species.

Tips For Your Visit

Want to have the best experience possible? Consider visiting the aquarium on weekdays or before 11 a.m. on weekends. With fewer people in the building, you’ll have more opportunities to linger in galleries and watch the animals! If visiting during peak times, keep in mind that the aquarium may sell out of tickets. We suggest skipping the line and buying your tickets online in advance.
