Rehoboth Beach is a small town on the coast of Delaware with just over 1,300 people comprising the entire population. Known as a resort town, the amount of people in Rehoboth Beach during peak vacation times can skyrocket to more than 25,000 people. What does that tell us? The increase tells us that Rehoboth Beach is a place you definitely want to visit! With that many people visiting, there have to be several worthwhile activities in and around the town. The list is quite extensive, but here are 7 things to do in Rehoboth Beach this summer.
1) Rehoboth Beach
The crux of a coastal beach town has got to be the beach itself, and Rehoboth Beach is no different. Delaware beaches are known for their cleanliness and water quality, and Rehoboth Beach exemplified that in 2011 when it was one of 12 locations in the country to be awarded a 5-Star rating in water quality by the Natural Resources Defense Council. Catch some rays at this pristine beach during your trip.
2) Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk
After a day of relaxing in the sand, take a walk along the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk right next to the ocean. This boardwalk is more peaceful than some other famous boardwalks, and it still provides visitors with a great amount of shops and restaurants to peruse.
3) Eating Rehoboth
To get a feel for the local cuisine in Rehoboth Beach, there is no better way to do so than to take part in the Eating Rehoboth food tour. The tour will last about three hours and will feature visits to five local restaurants. During your time at each restaurant, you will have the chance to try both some food and either a beer, some wine, or a cocktail. You can experience all of this for $49 per person.
So with nearly 100 locations across the country, Kilwin’s isn’t exactly a unique local spot to Rehoboth Beach. However, if you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth with some delicious chocolate, fudge, or ice cream, you must visit Kilwin’s. You can watch the employees make everything in-house before treating your taste buds to a wild ride.
Taking the entire family to Funland is a great idea for your trip to Rehoboth Beach. With 19 different rides – ranging from kiddie rides to thrill rides – and 16 different games to play, there is something fun to do for everyone. In order to get on the rides you will need to buy tickets, which you can get for as little as 25 cents per ticket. Gamers can also spend time at the arcade.
6) Dogfish Head Craft Brewery Tour
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery isn’t located right in Rehoboth Beach, but if you’ve ever tasted the famous 60 Minute IPA or 90 Minute IPA, you know that taking the 15-mile car ride is well worth the trip. The brewery can be found in Milton, DE, and it offers free tours six days a week. Bring anyone of age and enjoy four free samples of delicious craft beer.
7) The Bellmoor
Perhaps the most crucial thing you can do when you visit Rehoboth Beach is to stay at The Bellmoor Inn & Spa. This Delaware b&b resort hotel offers an experience that you will only find with the quality of a Select Registry inn. With more than 70 rooms to choose from, The Bellmoor has a luxurious room waiting just for you.
